What is your word of the year????

At the start of a new year many of us are reflecting on what we want to accomplish and how we want to improve ourselves. One way to do this is by choosing a word of the year - a word that embodies the values and intentions we want to focus on in the coming months.

For me, my word of the year is JOY. I want to make a conscious effort to cultivate this feeling in my life and to embed it in all areas of my life. I want to make joy a central part of every action I take, every decision I make, and every relationship I cultivate.

Through and post Covid I realized that I used to be a whole lot better at bringing joy into the mundane and wonder in small experiences. Things got so heavy and serious that joy quietly slipped away without my even noticing. It was one of the things I really liked about myself and, now that I've noticed it, I need to bring it back!

But what does it mean to "embed joy" into every action? For me, it means actively seeking out and savoring the small moments of joy life offers. It means being present in the moment and fully engaging with the people and activities around me. It means being grateful for the blessings in my life and finding ways to share that gratitude with others.

It also means being kind to myself and not beating myself up when things don't go according to plan. Joy is not about perfection - it's about finding happiness and contentment in the imperfections of life.

Embedding joy into every action also means being mindful of the impact my efforts have on others. It
means being a source of joy and positivity for those around me, and actively working to bring happiness and light into the world.

I believe that joy is contagious and that it has the power to positively impact not only our own lives but the lives of those around us. When we are filled with joy, we are able to radiate positivity and happiness to those around us, creating a ripple effect of joy.

I know that choosing joy as my word of the year won't magically make life perfect and free of challenges. But by keeping joy at the forefront of my mind and actively seeking it out, I hope to cultivate a sense of gratitude, positivity, and contentment that will sustain me throughout the year.

So here's to a year of joy - may it be a guiding light as we navigate the ups and downs of life. Happy New Year!
